After a tough season, the 7s team from our 1st XV rugby squad performed terrifically in the annual U13 Durston House 7s Tournament on Sunday. With some unavailability and injury, a bare seven made the trip to Ealing for an 8.45am start and played exceptionally well to finish as runners-up. Led by Kinan Issa and Joseph Gasper, both long-term absentees this season and both carrying new injuries on Sunday, the boys showed tremendous resolve and commitment throughout the morning and were a credit to the school. The final match typified such commitment where a loss would have seen us finish fourth whilst the win would have seen us finish second. 0-12 down at half time and after a bruising two and a half hours of rugby, many teams would not have had the hunger, spirit or passion to come back but our senior team not only did that but also went on to win 17-12.
