Year 2 have weekly Maths activities where all of the children are mixed across the classes and split into small groups of ten to 12 children. They do shopping with real money; tell the time; discuss 3D shapes and sorting objects into different categories; weigh items in kilograms and measure length in centimetres and metres using ‘child’ mobile phones to relay the messages. And who ever said Maths isn’t fun…. Over the course of a term each child will complete each activity.
