The Harrow Borough Cross Country Championships were held at Harrow School on Thursday afternoon of this week. Nathan Beardwell represented the school in the U15 category for Years 8 and 9 pupils. As one of the few Year 8s participating, Nathan did extremely well to finish a very creditable 10th out of 45 and is first reserve to represent Harrow in the Middlesex Schools Cross Country. In the U13 category for Years 6 and 7, Alex Gabbitas (one of few Year 6s participating) finished 22nd out of 43 – another good achievement. The main highlight, however, was that Orley Farm took a clean sweep of the medals with Nicholas Hart taking bronze, Ben Harrison grabbing silver and Matthew Harrison claiming gold in a truly outstanding performance. These three boys will now go on to compete in the Middlesex Schools Cross Country on Thursday 29th January; a photo of our muddied medallists can be found below!
