Beanbag Cheer!

09/02/2015

It is always a special moment when children take the time in their busy lives to acknowledge the care and concern of others.  This week was an excellent example of that.  Many year 3 pupils wanted to nominate Year 8 students for their kind actions and a pupil in Year 5 wanted to thank Kian for supporting him when he felt a little down.  It is super to see that the children really value the support of their peers.

Other beanbag cheers were for all those who took a risk and put themselves forward during the audition process for ‘Wind in the Willows’.  With nearly 100 pupils auditioning Mrs Gascoigne was faced with a daunting task.  Thank you and well done to everyone who pushed their boundaries.  It was fabulous to hear the words of encouragement offered to those who were given parts and also the care shown to those who were not so fortunate this time round.

Our last week of risk-taking starts today as the pupils in Years 7 & 5 begin their exams.  I am looking forward to the nominations connected to creativity next half-term.
