The Spanish Armada is a very interesting piece of history but if you are lucky enough to have Mr Cato as a teacher then this period really will come to life! It is alleged that Sir Francis Drake muttered the famous words that when he heard of the Spanish invading that he wished to finish his game of bowls!
Pupils found themselves involved in a full on battle on the high seas, acting out various key roles, with visits to Calais, Plymouth, Scotland and Ireland. Sadly not all of the characters had happy endings!
