Creativity in Science

23/03/2015

Last week  Year 7  learnt about pH, acids, bases, alkalis and different types of indicators that can be used in chemistry. Even though creativity was not amongst the learning objectives of the lesson, as you can see from the photos, the use of different indicators (universal, methyl orange, red cabbage, phenolphthalein) yielded results that make it hard to tell whether this is a science or an art class.

Also, with this week’s Year 6 EDGE group they took advantage of the sunshine and ‘took’ the lab outside enjoying the sunshine and at the same time using it for observations.

Two impressive impromptu creative sessions, thank you, Mr Chatzianastasiou.
