Last week I dropped into the Year 5 ESB (English Speaking Board) Junior Medallion group as they were put through their paces with their various presentations. The independent examiner was incredibly helpful but he was also a very incisive with his feedback and comments to the examinees. I was staggered with the levels that I was seeing. Their preparations were thorough, from text to powerpoint, prose to the Q&A, I could not fault them and I would add that I would have struggled to reach the levels that I saw – truly impressive. This is such a powerful exercise that genuinely pays dividends…well done Year 5!
