PEAK Week starts…with a bang!

Today was the start of our sporting week aimed at personal bests and collective success.  Upper School and Year 5 came together for our Sports Day Competition.  Four Houses fought in track and field events that would see a winner take glory!  However, the highlight for me was a comment from a parent who has seen numerous such events who described the difference that Orley pupils bring…

There is such individual competition but real enjoyment in each other’s success…

This really did strike me as important as a group of Year 8 pupils shook hands and clapped each other on the back following a highly competitive High Jump event.

On the day, Hastings took the glory as overall winners.  However, in the post event analysis, sporting values were the order of the day.  Well done to all competitors, thank you to parents who came to support and finally, a very big thank you to Mr Hymas for organising the first of six ‘PEAK’ events that will test everyone to their limits over the coming week…!
