Today our Year 7 and 8 pupils were all awarded their House ties in recognition of the work that they do as role models to younger members of their respective Houses. This was an initiative that has been in the pipeline for a number of years but we could never settle on suitable designs…the ultimate handbrake as fashion is a very personal thing. However, Mr Ravasse led a very democratic process that saw our senior leaders voting for or against various offerings from our school supplier in Scotland. Today was the fruition of this process and I was delighted with the excitement that followed…much pride and healthy banter! I know that our senior boys and girls realise that this is not simply a fashion statement, it is an indicator to younger pupils of a ‘go to’ person if they want help, support or advice. Investing in our future starts with our present, congratulations to our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils, wear your new ties with pride!
