The School’s nominated charity for 2016 is SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). It was nominated after the School heard of the tragic death of one of its former pupils who left only three years ago. On Monday in School assembly, the School was reminded of how this pupil lived out the School values to the fore and a few teachers reminisced on his time here.
The main School event this year to raise money in his memory is the Charity Run that will circumnavigate the Hill. Mr. Davies outlined the route to the School and it is hoped that all the School community will be involved: pupils, teachers & parents. The course can be jogged or walked but we hope that its involvement by all will represent the unity of our close community. It is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of Wednesday July 6th.
Other events through the year will also be organised and there is even a rumour of a bike ride from John O’Groats to Orley Farm in late summer!
