The Next Frontier

15/01/2016

During the holidays Mr Chatzianastasiou took a group of senior pupils to the Royal Institute for one of their Christmas lectures which are broadcast on the BBC.

This year, to coincide with Tim Peake becoming  the first Briton in space for more than 20 years and the first Briton to walk in space,  the lecture’s title was ‘The Next Frontier’ and explored questions on how can life be artificially sustained as we travel to Mars and beyond.

All the lectures can be watched online on BBC iplayer. The link for The Next Frontier is:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06tk225/royal-institution-christmas-lectures-2015-how-to-survive-in-space-3-the-next-frontier

The boys, and Mr C, all enjoyed the experience and learnt alot.  Perhaps we may see one of them going to Mars in the future!
