Year 1 go on Safari

28/11/2016

Year One were treated to some expert Kenyan knowledge on Monday, by some of the parents in the year group. We started off by learning some phrases in Swahili, before learning some new and interesting facts about Kenya. We were even taught a traditional Kenyan song and dance! After we had finished this, we were told that we would be going on safari so we went back to our classrooms to prepare. We made some binoculars out of cardboard tubes and we decorated them in bright colours. After we had finished them, our knowledgeable guide Baba Reyan took us on a special safari tour of the atrium, where we spotted some different Kenyan animals and learnt even more exciting facts!

A huge asante to the parents involved. A great morning was had by all!
