Celebrations

19/05/2017

We have had a lot to celebrate this week as Open Morning on Saturday, once again, provided the opportunity for pupils to shine.  The feedback from our visitors was, as always, positive and encouraging.  Even the most nervous of guides were able to show off our wonderful school and explain why they enjoy their education.  You should be very proud of your children, we are!

The Form of the Week competition is hotting up as Form Teachers vie to retain, and get their hands on, the trophy.  In assembly this morning it was debatable whether it was 7S, or Mr C, who was most excited…

Congratulations to 7S (now 6 time winners) and 4W.

The house competition stats for the week stand as follows:

Hastings 416

Hopkins 412

Julians 400

Broadrick 383

Our beanbag cheer nominations included the children who kindly gave up their books for our inspectors, the pupils who demonstrated the Science experiments in the labs, 4W for their informal concert, a case of mistaken identity from a sports report and the pupils who kindly ran an Eco Assembly for Pre-prep.

As always, a busy week with some disappointingly unseasonal weather. Hopefully we will round off the week with some beautiful piano playing to replace the sunshine and some good results in the tournament tomorrow.
