Our Year One children are given a variety of independent activities based around their topic. These are set up once a week and the children have the responsibility to complete a set of ‘Must do’ tasks and then choose from a variety of others over the term. Children learn to prioritise and make choices about their learning whilst planning what they need to complete over the term. We have been very impressed with the development of their independence over the year.
