Thinking of others at Christmas

27/11/2017

Year 6 have been learning about the charity ‘send a cow’ which helps families in Rwanda. The children thought about how lucky they were at this time of year and that with Christmas coming they all have written lists of things that they would like. In this lesson we learnt that some families owning a cow can help them produce more crops, as they can use the manure on their fields, sell the milk for money and also use the money to have the privilege of going to school. A very thoughtful and worthwhile lesson that made the children think and reflect.
