This weekend our OFA came together to run our annual Christmas Fair, a genuine coming together in the spirit of the season. Last year this highly creative team suggested that we bring gifts to wrap and to give to Father Christmas to give to those who might not be as lucky as we are over this period. I was so touched when hearing the excitement in the week before as your children talked about what they were bringing to give away.
There were stalls offering all sorts created and run by pupils – some very promising ‘market traders’ were in action touting for business! Raffle prizes, mulled wine and candy floss made sure that there were smiles all round as The Chamber Choir warmed us on the inside.
This was another lovely event that was even attended by prospective parents who couldn’t believe the buzz and sense of fun…thank you to our wonderful OFA Team who gave us the opportunity to come together as the days draw in and to remind us that we are more than simply a school, we are a community!
