Body Worlds Science Visit……

22/11/2019

This Tuesday Year 6 had a busy trip to London to visit the amazing “Body Worlds” exhibition at Piccadilly Circus. The day began with a brisk walk to South Harrow Station and then we made the exciting tube journey into zone 1.

On our arrival at the exhibition students were given their own audio guide to accompany them in their groups as they made their way through the many systems of the human body. The plastinate human bodies were incredible to see and the students loved seeing close up the work that they have been covering in their Science lessons.

After lunch we travelled by tube to South Kensington’s Science Museum to the newly opened Wellcome Medical Galleries. Students were met by an incredible piece of sculpture by Marc Quinn “Zombie Boy”. The galleries were fantastic and the students thoroughly enjoyed the treasure hunt. We all safely returned in time for check off. Thank you to all the staff that ensured this trip was a success. The students LOVED their day out from school. London is a wonderful city and we are fortunate to be able to absorb it’s beauty.
