At Orley Farm we believe that the early years of your child’s education are crucial. From Reception to Year 2 we strive to provide a well-balanced educational curriculum so that we have happy and motivated children.  We have dedicated staff who are constantly aiming to provide a rich, exciting and challenging curriculum to nurture each child’s independence and stimulate their learning.  We want to develop their initiative and promote a happy and healthy child.

Our classrooms are purpose built and each class has a Teacher and a full time Nursery Nurse or Teaching Assistant.  Throughout the Pre-Prep we place great importance on settling our children in a calm, caring and positive environment.  We value highly our pastoral care and, through our school values and circle time, we aim to encourage our children to develop a sense of awareness of others, to be polite and to grow in self-esteem and confidence.

All pupils have access to specialist teachers in Art, Music, ICT, Drama, French and Physical Education.  Swimming lessons take place in the summer term in our heated outdoor pool.  Throughout the year we have visitors and school trips to support and enrich the curriculum.  The children have daily access to our landscaped and richly resourced outdoor areas which facilitate indoor/outdoor learning.

We recognise that each child is special and unique and we aim to provide a beginning to their school life that is happy, individual, challenging, exciting and one that will give them the solid foundations they will need to prepare them for the rest of their life.

Head of Pre Prep

At Orley Farm, Reception children are welcomed into a warm and friendly community.

We strive to create a positive and stimulating environment both indoors and outside in our purpose built outdoor learning area.

Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and activities are practical, investigative and challenging.

We place great importance in Pastoral Care,  encouraging children to co-operate, work and play together, and to live their lives by following our school values.

Orley Farm children are encouraged to be happy, confident, inquisitive and independent learners, engaging in a wide range of fun and practical activities.

We look forward to welcoming you into our classrooms.
