Beanbag Cheer – Kind and helpful

30/01/2015

Schools are busy places and playgrounds are areas of learning as much as classrooms.  It is often the case that skills such as tolerance, understanding and empathy have to be learnt through experience.

We are always aware that role modelling and encouraging positive behaviour is essential.  Children do have to make mistakes to move forward – “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin.

I am delighted to say that once again this week we were able to celebrate the kindness of others as nominations included post-match care of injured team mates in freezing cold conditions, taking the time to help and support even though it was not expected, offering friendship and support when others are finding things tricky and displaying impeccable manners, even though some may have temporarily forgotten theirs…

Thank you to all of you who were nominated, you help to make our school the wonderful place it is.
