Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
– Pablo Picasso
Art is a wonderful subject that allows students to express themselves, to gain a rich variety of skills and techniques, to form aesthetic opinions and finally to just appreciate the world around them.
It will pay dividends in all aspects of school life and in a very busy and demanding school, it offers breathing space! Invariably, when the lesson ends, pupils are a little put out that time appears to have passed so quickly but as that great adage goes…
Time flies when you’re having fun!
