Girls’ Games and Sports

The Girls’ Games department is a vibrant part of Orley Farm School. We have a beautiful 36 acre site, and sport plays an important part in the life of every girl at the school. In order to develop their skills we are passionate about offering the girls an extensive sports programme, and ensuring that all of them have the opportunity to represent the school in competitive situations.

The department is dedicated to challenging and supporting the girls in their pursuit of sporting excellence, and fixtures are a regular part of the calendar. In Year 3 and 4 the girls have 2 x 45 minute lessons per week, and this increases to 3 x 45 minute lessons from Year 5 upwards.

As a department we always want to enable the girls to showcase their skills, and we hold annual events such as tournaments and festivals as well as attending those at other local schools. These provide a competitive, enriching and fun environment which allows our girls to develop as sports players.
