About

Welcome to Orley Farm School

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our exciting school. We hope that you will enjoy the snapshot of school life that this website gives.

It provides an outline of the journey that we want all our children to make as they progress through their Orley Farm career.

On that journey, our aim is to inspire our children with a love of learning, to encourage them to grow in confidence, to be inquisitive explorers in their studies, to be creative thinkers and doers, to be energetic in their approach to all things and to become self-motivated in their search for what gets them out of bed…without being asked!

Orley Farm Scholarships 2021

Congratulations to 23 of our leavers who were awarded 36 scholarships to 15 of the country’s top senior schools.  A particular highlight was being awarded 16 academic scholarships, with one pupil being awarded a Queen’s Scholar to Westminster School.  Our pupils also achieved 7 Sports Scholarships, 4 Music Scholarships, 4 Drama Scholarships and 2 Design Technology Scholarships.

Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.

These quotes are close to my heart.  Childhood in this fast moving world appears to be getting shorter and I believe that the lessons learnt, whilst in these formative years, need to stand the test of time and become foundations in the young adults of tomorrow.  We employ outstanding teachers who share the simple belief that none of us are complete in our journey of learning and therefore a love and passion to find out more is at the heart of our children, teachers and even our parents!

We are blessed with an extensive and well-resourced site.  Our forty acres of land and exceptional facilities support the learning of all children and all subject areas.  We are over 160 years old but the founding DNA of the school has embraced evolution, allowing us to make the best of tradition with a very modern and progressive outlook.  Our pupils are excited about coming to school and there is a real ‘buzz’ about the corridors, classrooms and playing fields!

The children and staff join me in offering a warm invitation to come and find out more.  We look forward to seeing you!
