Today was our last lunch in the old dining hall…soon to become new Davies Library. Pupils were all very excited about the move to the Butler Hall but this was mixed with a little sadness as some of the older ones realised that, for over a century, Orleyans have shared food and fellowship in this very room. Shaan Ali and I were the last to leave and it was a little emotional to reflect on the above.
However, we do have a quite extraordinary new facility and I am sure that new memories will be created and food and friendship shared! More to follow tomorrow…
…but for now, I would like to wish Aubrey and his amazing team good luck for tomorrow, we are trying to achieve the impossible in moving overnight with no phased build up…ambition is one of our core thinking skills after all!
