Middle School Sports Day has just concluded with Hopkins taking first place in the overall competition, congratulations to them! There were some amazing individual battles being played out on the track and in the field with a number of new events being introduced. I was delighted with the way that everyone threw themselves into their moment…giving their very best.
However, the event concluded with an amazing touch; Miss Young invited our Senior Leaders who were there to help and support to nominate a Year 3 or 4 pupil for special commendation. The reasons were so impressive and ranged from simple sporting abilities to empathetic acts of kindness to fellow competitors. Today was a triumph and I would extend a huge ‘thank you’ to Miss Young and her team for bringing sunshine and athletics together…!
