Over the past two weekends we have been fortunate enough to have hosted our annual Ten Ten Cricket Tournaments in good weather. A huge ‘thank you’ must go to Rob, Dave and Jake for ensuring that our grounds have been in immaculate condition – so many visiting parents and coaches commented on the remarkable facilities that we are lucky enough to enjoy.
Both our teams (1st XI and Colts A) finished as runners up in two tournaments which saw over 1500 runs scored and over 100 wickets taken. Akhil Sofat won the Leading Bowler Trophy in the U13 Tournament (in which Paaras Shah also took a hat-trick in the final) whilst Varun Theebaraj won the Leading Batsman Trophy in the U11 Tournament. And I would like to thank all of our parents for making everyone feel so welcome. I was literally ‘bowled over’ with the complimentary words from so many visitors about Orley Farm…I know it’s a great school but it’s always good to hear this from strangers!
