Up and down the country it is the start of Anti-Bullying Week and the national theme is ‘Make a No!se about Bullying’. We started our Monday message assembly by reflecting on the horrific events in Paris over the weekend. It is hard to teach children about bullying when some adults demonstrate that they have little or no regard for each other but perhaps these moments become even more important at times like this.
Hopefully, our generation of children will work harder at finding common ground in our humanity, love and compassion rather than sowing seeds of fear. Weeks like this will shape change. I would like to thank Mr Perry for launching our focus, there will be ongoing activities and discussions over the weeks that follow.
