My day was made with a knock on the door and a small troop of pupils bringing outstanding work to show me. Staff can make recommendations for pupils to be awarded a Headmaster’s Commendation for outstanding work…congratulations to the following:
Ridhi, Aryaa and Sophie all took their English prep to new heights as they published their creative writing compositions in what look like professional publications. Not only was the content outstanding but the presentation was out of the top drawer – well done girls!
Sam, also responding to an English prep, chose to create a puzzle inspired by the creative writing that was coming from classwork. His attention to detail is extraordinary – even the packaging!
And finally, Tara showed me her additional research on an endangered bird in the UK based on her Science prep, that would sit perfectly in any David Attenborough documentary!
The one thing that they all have in common as we chatted through what inspired them…was that they loved the subject of their respective preps and simply wanted to do and learn more…Congratulations to them…but well done to their teachers who lit fires that burned long after the lesson!
