OFS U11 Ten10 bring home the double

21/06/2016

Congratulations to our Colts A cricketers who won a thrilling Orley Farm U11 Ten10 Cricket Tournament last weekend on a day when 556 runs were scored and 47 wickets were taken. Our first match was a thriller as we beat St. John’s by five wickets off the penultimate ball of the match before we beat Quainton Hall by 34 runs in the second round of matches before lunch. The equation for the afternoon was simple: win against St. Martin’s and the shield was ours, lose and run rate would come into play to decide the winner. Well, win it we did as we stormed to a 45 run victory. All of the boys played superbly in the three matches with our captain Niraan Shah picking up the Leading Batsman Trophy for his aggregate of 57 runs.

It completes an excellent double for our leading two cricket teams following the success of our 1st XI in the Orley Farm U13 Ten10 Cricket Tournament before half term. It has been a season to remember with our record currently standing at played 39, won 29, lost 10. Well done to all boys and all teams who have played their part in this terrific record.
