I loved standing in our quad this morning watching 500 children coming together full of stories of adventures from the past break, smiles, laughter and even hugs, across the board! There is a great deal of ‘love’ in this school and I don’t use this word lightly. In assembly, we focused on the word ‘new’. New books, new classrooms, new friends, new teachers; this is chance to reinvent, to rewrite and to tell a new story.
As a staff group we have had several days of training and induction and whilst it is lovely to have time together, school is never alive until your children return. Today is rather like a defibrillator restarting the heart, Orley Farm is alive! I do hope that your children return today full of stories of wonder and happiness!
