Football Season Comes To A Close…

15/12/2017

With all football matches now complete, we have played a staggering 109 matches winning 48 of these and scoring 291 goals along the way (from 107 different boys!). All boys in Years 3-8 represented the school throughout the term, well done to them all and many thanks to the parents (and others) for their support on the touchline. My thanks also go to Rob Baker, as well as Dave Sheppard and Jake Rosier, for their fantastic work on our pitches, providing us with excellent surfaces for our games lessons and matches.

The school’s elite team, the 1st XI (see photo), led the way in terms of results winning nine of their ten matches and winning the annual Orley Farm Football Tournament back in September. Captain Elliott Taylor was named as the Player of the Season for the second consecutive year and Shayen Vaid, with 13 goals to his name, won the coveted Golden Boot for being the school’s leading goalscorer throughout the season.
